Job Summary
Conduct a 3-year finance graduate apprenticeship rotating through Supply Chain, Engineering, and FP&A functions at GE Aerospace's Cheltenham site. Manage project budgets, drive cost control and budgeting initiatives, and execute LEAN improvement projects to streamline processes and eliminate waste. Partner with cross-functional teams to forecast engineering spend, analyze revenue and margins, and report business performance to local and HQ functions. Complete the Accountancy Taxation Professional Level 7 apprenticeship, allocating 20% of time off the job for training while maintaining compliance with technical accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Finance/Accountancy Degree
- GSCE/Level 2 Maths and English certificates
- L4 finance/accountancy qualification or equivalent
- No similar level 7 qualification
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Right to work in the UK
Desired Qualifications
- Placement year (preferably with GE Aerospace) within Finance
- Strong/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Work experience/relevant internship
- Positive can-do attitude
- Ability to fluently speak and write in English language
- Self-starter and able to problem solve using your initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team and be an active contributor to team discussions and projects
- Flexible work style, ability to work under pressure and must be able to work on own initiative
- Good organisational skills and the ability to plan against deadlines efficiently
- Track record in creative thinking, process improvement and elimination of waste
