Job Summary
Build a world-class finance function by operating day-to-day processes including procure-to-pay, quote-to-cash, month-end close, and reporting. Clarify decision-making through budgeting, scenario planning, and performance communication to set constraints for leaders. Partner with executive stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and go-to-market to provide insight on department-level P&L performance and shape processes across the finance lifecycle. Provide feedback on tools and systems designed to transform the accounting space. This high-visibility role supports Numeric's mission to build modern financial data platforms for accounting teams, backed by top-tier investors and trusted by leading finance organizations.
Required Qualifications
- 3-8 years in corporate accounting, FP&A, or finance at an early-stage startup
- hunger to take on high-impact work
- willingness to design finance and accounting processes from first principles
- Strong data analysis
- Excel skills
- experience interpreting and working with financial data
- Comfort building tools with LLMs
- Ability to distill operational complexity into clear insights with actionable takeaways for all company stakeholders
- A structured thinker who can break down ambiguous challenges, find practical solutions, and drive execution
- This is a 100% in-person role based in our San Francisco or New York City office
