Finance Director

Job Summary

Lead all core finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management for a global nonprofit. Prepare regular financial reports for internal leadership, the Board of Directors, and major donors while overseeing annual audits and IRS Form 990 filings. Manage restricted and unrestricted fund accounting, external bookkeeper relationships, and internal controls appropriate for a growing organization. Partner with the Executive Director to develop financial strategy, build models for program planning, and advise on reserve strategy. Supervise and mentor the finance team, coordinate with Tergar Mandala, and handle multi-currency transactions and cross-border contractor payments. Work standard hours M-F in US Central/Eastern time zones with a competitive salary, health benefits, and 200 hours of PTO.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Strong grasp of nonprofit accounting
  • Form 990 preparation
