Finance Director

Provide leadership, direction, and performance oversight for department staff while planning operations, workflow, and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery. Develop, administer, and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with the Executive Director and leadership team; analyze financial data, review funding requests, and ensure compliance with GAAP, governmental standards, and applicable laws. Maintain official accounting and payroll records, oversee financial operations including investments and grants, and coordinate external audits to satisfy regulatory requirements. Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and the Library Board by providing timely financial analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to support long-range planning and organizational sustainability. Establish collaborative relationships with county officials, vendors, and funding organizations, and participate in the Management Team for strategic planning and employee development. Perform other related duties as assigned, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on organizational needs.
