Job Summary
Finance Director position for the Lake County General Health District. Responsible for overseeing all financial operations, budgeting, funding compliance, and strategic fiscal planning. Lead fiscal management, prepare and monitor budgets, ensure grant compliance (federal/state/local), manage audits and internal controls, and supervise fiscal staff. Requires public health/government accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and ability to provide accurate financial reporting to the Health Commissioner and Board of Health. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
- Minimum of five years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in a government, public health, or non-profit setting
- Deep familiarity with governmental accounting standards (GASB), fund accounting, and state auditor protocols
