Job Summary
Finance Director – India leads financial strategy, operations, and performance management across Gensler’s India offices. Acts as a strategic financial advisor to India leadership, driving profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and performance diagnostics. Oversees project accounting, revenue recognition, budgeting and forecasting, P&L and balance sheet oversight, cash flow and AR management; drives improvements in project profitability and provides commercial guidance on contract terms and fee structures. Ensures full compliance with India statutory, tax, regulatory requirements, and firm policies. Builds and mentors the India finance team, partners with HR/IT/Facilities/Marketing, and collaborates with regional/global finance peers. Requires ability to travel within India and across Asia Pacific. Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred; extensive experience in a global or multi-office professional services environment is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Proven experience leading finance operations across multiple locations in India
- Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in data analytics and enterprise systems (e.g. Deltek VantagePoint, Excel, Power BI)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
