Job Summary
Manage and mentor finance staff while developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan aligned with ADP's electoral goals. Oversee the fundraising calendar, including two annual flagship galas, regional events, and donor development for major gifts. Cultivate relationships with major donors, conduct targeted research, and staff meetings for party leadership and elected officials. Collaborate with vendors on digital fundraising efforts and coordinate with labor unions, progressive organizations, and local parties to support initiatives. Maintain accurate donor records, ensure compliance with campaign finance laws, and assist with planning for State Committee meetings and major donor gatherings.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of fundraising experience
- at least one full cycle of experience as a Finance Director or equivalent senior fundraising role for a campaign or political organization
- Demonstrated experience managing staff and fundraising programs
- Strong donor-facing skills with the ability to build authentic, long-term relationships
- Proven ability to plan and execute fundraising events and donor meetings
- Comfortable making direct asks and pursuing new donor relationships
- Willingness and ability to travel for fundraising events
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with state parties, coordinated campaigns, or large political organizations
- Familiarity with labor and progressive fundraising ecosystems
- Experience training candidates, local parties, or volunteers on fundraising
- Experience with political fundraising databases and donor research tools
- Strong understanding of NGPVAN, ActBlue, and Numero
- Outgoing, confident, and highly motivated
- Strong organizational and project-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and mission-driven
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-moving political environment
