Job Summary
Finance Controller role responsible for managing the end-to-end finance function for Oman operations, including accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, cost control, and strong governance. Oversees accounting activities (payments, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany), revenue and cost management, month-end closing, FP&A (budget vs actuals, variance analysis, cash flow), and regulatory/tax compliance (VAT, withholding tax, audits). Leads group reporting (Cognos), maintains internal controls, supports audits, and partners with operations and stakeholders to provide insights and ensure financial integrity in a fintech/payments environment. Requires 5 years of experience, ACCA/CPA/CMA preferred, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, ERP experience (Odoo), and proficiency in English and Arabic.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years
- Minimum education -degree in accounting/commerce/finance-requirement
- Professional certifications -ACCA, CPA, CMA- strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP)
- Experience in fintech/payments/revenue-based business models
- ERP systems (preferably Odoo)
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Ability to independently manage end-to-end finance function
- Stakeholder management and communication skills
- High attention to detail and deadline-driven approach
- Language Requirements: English proficient - requirement, Arabic proficient- requirement
