Job Summary
Drive the Balance Sheet Substantiation (BSS) effort for the region by coordinating with Finance Directors to determine emerging issues and monitor resolution. Ensure balance sheet integrity through ownership assignments, substantiation, reconciliation, and back/review testing while performing quality assessments and connecting data points with other control metrics. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on BSS, accounting, and audit concepts to improve accountability via updates to the training framework and review SOX control documentation. Manage change projects for process improvements, handle management discussions, and coordinate with FCO partners to ensure accurate control documentation. This role requires a Bachelor's in accountancy and banking experience, offering a competitive salary, retirement benefits, medical insurance, and 20 days of annual vacation in Manila.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting
- Experience in balance sheet substantiation coming from banking and financial services
- Knowledge on markets business, risk and regulatory
- High level of professionalism, integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
- Highly organized, structured and ability to clearly communicate FCO initiatives with senior management and wider finance groups
