Finance Business Partner – Operations and R&D

Job Summary
Act as the primary finance contact for Operations and R&D leadership, providing proactive financial insight to support decision-making across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Clinical teams. Partner with operational functions to develop cost, efficiency, and investment targets while challenging leaders to deliver against budgets, forecasts, and key performance metrics. Lead financial performance reviews, develop Operations and R&D KPIs, and prepare monthly performance packs for senior management including variance analysis and forecast movements. Provide financial modelling for R&D projects, support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, and drive initiatives to reduce inventory levels and improve working capital efficiency. Work in close proximity with cost accounting to resolve reporting discrepancies and ensure appropriate treatment of R&D costs and accruals.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, or operations-focused finance role
- Strong understanding of cost accounting
