Job Summary
Own the financial engine for a portfolio of growing software businesses by ensuring monthly reporting accuracy, building a local finance team for French compliance, and guiding migrations to NetSuite. Build and defend annual budgets and rolling forecasts while preparing Quarterly Update Review packs for executive leadership. Coach Business Unit Leaders on financial acumen and challenge their growth plans to allocate resources effectively. Drive growth by spotting operating efficiencies, managing overhead with intent, and partnering on expense management and system integration for new acquisitions. Operate in a decentralized, multi-entity environment with occasional travel. Fluent in English and French with a background in SaaS or fast-growing technology.
Required Qualifications
- An ambitious problem-solver who wants this role to be a stepping stone – experience on the path towards a CFO or Controller of a larger group of companies, or of a larger standalone business
- Strong technical grounding in accounting practices and controls - you can run a clean close and hold a third-party provider to a standard, not just review their output
- Commercial instinct to match: you can sit across from a Business Unit Leader and challenge their growth plan, not just report on whether they hit it
- A completed university education plus a professional finance qualification (CA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent)
- 5+ years in Business Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering
- Ability to lead and build a team of regional finance specialists
- Comfort operating in a decentralised, multi-entity, PE-backed environment - you'll manage stakeholders across businesses at very different stages of maturity
- Fluent in English and French; effective communicator at every level of an organisation, from bookkeeper to CEO
