Job Summary
Litigation Operational Risk Business Manager within the Litigation Finance and Business Management team overseeing identification, recording, monitoring, and reporting of operational risk events for the Litigation department. Responsible for ensuring adherence to Firmwide Internal Operational Risk Event Standards, managing interface between LitHub and the Risk Event Database, supporting Litigation Reporting and enhancements for LitHub, and collaborating with Product Owners and Legal Technology. Key duties include monthly reporting of litigation matter and loss data to the operational risk database, ensuring data accuracy for settlements, reserves, fines, and outside counsel fees, resolving data variances with cross-functional teams, maintaining compliance with risk standards, leading the team handling RFP, matter reporting and discovery management, coordinating audits and Reg W reporting, enhancing LitHub with data quality improvements, partnering with Op Risk and Litigation teams on reporting, shaping future workflows with Operations and Technology, collaborating with Legal Finance on fees, reserves, and settlements, and participating in working groups to address ad-hoc reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in finance, controls, risk, legal operations, compliance, or related field
- Proven ability to produce accurate, timely reports with complex data sets, reconciliation, and quality assurance
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining robust controls frameworks; proactive in identifying process improvement opportunities and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to present well to senior and global Litigation heads
- Able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
