Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and variance analysis on expense trends while acting as the owner of the allocation model that pushes costs from support groups to the front office. Set monthly reviews with business leaders and senior stakeholders to communicate findings, and lead projects to modernize the forecasting process using tools like Anaplan. Maintain control of the organization hierarchy, provide insights on actuals and budgets, and transform reporting packages using Alteryx, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot. This Associate role reports to the Headcount & Expense Lead, requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and offers 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis within Financial Services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- 3 plus years of experience in financial planning & analysis, finance, accounting, controller, management consulting, management accounting or related function in Financial Services
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis techniques; ability to understand business drivers and identify opportunities to improve
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to results, presentation development, and analysis to key stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from various departments and levels; excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and promote cooperation among team members and other teams
- Detail oriented, strategic thinker with skills in analysis, data synthetization, and acute decision making
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders
- Experience leading projects, dealing with competing priorities
- Ability to distill complex information in a clear and concise way
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA
- Working knowledge of Alteryx , SQL, Tableau, Anaplan and Thoughtspot
