Finance Budgeting Analyst

Job Summary
Supports development, monitoring, and management of budgets for National Office, Area Programs, and projects; prepares detailed budget proposals, consolidates inputs from multiple departments, and analyzes variances between actual and planned expenditures; ensures compliance with donor and internal guidelines, provides timely financial reports, and collaborates with program and finance teams to forecast funding needs and optimize resource allocation. Includes system uploads (Horizon/Impaq/Sun) and Labor Distribution Reports (LDRs), PBAS commitments and reconciliations, cost allocation at the NO level, and monitoring of SCR and related activities; aims to align budgets with strategic priorities and donor requirements while supporting management with PBAS status updates and audit-ready documentation.
Required Qualifications
- A first degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a finance role in NGO environment
- In-depth working knowledge of GAAP and the WVI FPP
- Knowledge of grant accounting
- Working knowledge of accounting software packages, especially Sun Systems, Vision XL and Vision Executive
