Finance Audit Specialist

Job Summary
Coordinate statutory audits across UK and Netherlands entities, acting as the primary liaison for external auditors to manage timelines, deliverables, and follow-up actions. Gather supporting documentation from ERP and finance systems, prepare audit samples, and investigate discrepancies while maintaining complete working papers. Implement standardized checklists and templates to improve audit readiness and reduce administrative burdens across Finance, HR, Logistics, and Operations. Identify opportunities to automate recurring activities and strengthen internal controls within a multinational environment. Support month-end and year-end finance activities where required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Approximately 5 years of relevant finance experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of direct internal or external audit experience
- Experience supporting statutory audits
- Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP and finance systems
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of IFRS and/or Dutch GAAP is preferred
- Experience within retail, fashion, e-commerce, consumer goods, or distribution
- Experience working within a multinational or multi-entity environment
- Familiarity with audit management or project management software
- Experience improving finance processes and internal controls
- Exposure to inventory, payroll, and operational audits
- Experience with Exenta
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Audit & Project Management Software
- Experience with Financial Reporting Systems
- Experience with Document Management Systems
