Job Summary
Record deposits, payments, and receipts to appropriate program accounts while maintaining confidentiality of all financial data. Assist the Chief Financial Officer with preparing presentation materials, reports, and statistical data, and support the Grants and Fiscal Compliance team with AP/AR duties. Reconcile monthly payments and fees, including merchant store revenue and online donations, and perform bank reconciliations. Prepare spreadsheets, schedules, and trend analysis for various general ledger accounts. Collaborate with teammates to plan and execute business requests, ensuring accuracy in financial systems such as Concur, Acumatica, and Workday.
Required Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of Accounting education
- Proficiency in Excel
- Must be computer literate/excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, databases, etc.)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, campus staff and students, government officials and their staff members, and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Understanding of concepts, principles and practices of funding agency relations and compliance requirements
- Ability to adjust quickly to constantly changing priorities with speed, precision, and accuracy
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (occasionally)
