Finance Assistant

Job Summary
The Finance Assistant is responsible for daily financial tasks including treasury management, compliance monitoring, and financial accounting. This role involves ensuring adequate funds for operations, adherence to Mercy Corps policies, and accurate cash transactions. Key qualifications include a diploma or degree in finance or accounting, at least 3 years of relevant experience, especially with international NGOs and donor grants, and advanced skills in MS Excel and general ledger software. The candidate should be a self-driven and critical thinker with strong organizational and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years and more progressive experience in the non-profit organization and mainly experience gained in the INGO
- Experience working with WFP and USAID/DFID grants at least for two years
- Diploma/First Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated competency with computerized general ledger software
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly in Excel
- Prior management experience and strong organizational skills
