Job Summary
Support the Senior Manager by maintaining strong controls and delivering the annual assurance programme, including keeping key control documents and SOX systems up to date. Review profit and loss and balance sheet movements to resolve SOX scoping questions, track control changes year-over-year, and prepare clear progress updates for stakeholders and auditors. Maintain operational resilience plans and business continuity information while assessing how business changes affect existing controls. Build strong relationships across Finance, business, Platform, and audit teams to promote a proactive risk culture. This 12-month fixed-term role in Halifax offers hybrid working and exposure to retail banking transformation.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months plus experience in Finance, Risk, Controls or Audit
- proven ability to apply risk and control principles in day-to-day decision-making
- 12 months plus experience in explaining complex risk and control topics in a simple way
- proficiency in communicating at different levels
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- ability to build trusted relationships across difference teams
