Job Summary
Assist in providing procedural and technical support for staff within finance and budget areas to ensure compliance with WFP financial policies. Monitor monthly expenditure forecasts, sub-imprest bank accounts, and petty cash to facilitate informed decision-making and prevent overdrafts. Verify vendor claims, advances, and receivables while observing procurement procedures to ensure timely and compliant supplier payments. Compile information from various sources to prepare reports on budgets, accounting, and statistics, and retrieve data from financial systems to validate entries and report discrepancies. Maintain web-based registers for invoices and payment transfers, recording paperwork in compliance with WFP standards. Provide guidance and on-the-job training to other support staff to ensure consistent service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Five or more years of work experience in the field of Finance and Accounting
- Fluency in both oral and written communication in English
