Job Summary
Drive financial and operational performance by monitoring project-level profit & loss activities, analyzing P&L variances, and executing refinancing and contract renegotiations. Manage all commercial and administrative tasks for Project Companies from construction through operations, including cost estimates for corrective maintenance and project insurance administration. Update financial models, prepare periodic cash budgets, and conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis. Administer contracts with third parties such as EPC, O&M, and lenders, while maintaining statutory registers and filing requirements. Liaise with technical, legal, and financial advisers and support the VP F&AM in Board interactions. Requires a degree in Finance or Engineering, 7 years of project finance experience, and fluency in English and Romanian. Based in Bucharest, Romania with domestic travel and extended hours when required.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
- Management Accounting, MBA, or Chartered Accountant Qualification
- 7 years of working experience in finance, project/asset management or project finance-related banking or advisory, corporate finance or controlling
- Corporate governance and Board Reporting/presentations
- experience with administration of project-financed agreement
- Proficiency in understanding and budgeting cashflows
- Proficiency in understanding financial modelling and analysis
- Asset management experience in the renewable/construction industry
- Strong Project Management of large-scale renewable or construction projects
- Experience in the renewable industry, oil and gas, real estate or infrastructure sectors
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in English & Romanian (written & spoken)
- Should be available and accustomed to travel domestically
- Must be able to work in an open plan environment
- Must be able to work extended hours when required
Desired Qualifications
- International experience or working in foreign-owned subsidiaries is an advantage
