Finance and Grants Officer - Bangladesh

Job Summary
The Finance and Grants Officer will support financial and grants management activities, ensuring compliance with donor regulations. Responsibilities include preparing finance reports, processing payments, maintaining financial records in QuickBooks, managing grants compliance, and liaising with program grantees. The ideal candidate should have a university degree in accounting, at least five years of accounting experience (including two years in grants management), familiarity with US government funding requirements, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum five years in accounting with two years in grants management experience preferred
- Experience working with international development programs preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Substantive knowledge of the technical and operational requirements of US government funding agencies (e.g. USAID)
- Knowledge of grant processes including accounting and financial reporting
- Knowledge of accounting software (preferably QuickBooks)
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office including databases and spreadsheets
- Ability to work in partnership with local communities and NGOs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytic skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
