Job Summary
Direct and monitor all general accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger management, and maintenance of accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and CAS. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and expense allocations. Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external audits, preparing schedules and supporting documentation while maintaining compliance with FAR and DFARS. Lead preparation, review, and monitoring of annual, divisional, and project-level budgets, providing financial insight to executive leadership. Manage accounting staff through mentoring, goal setting, and performance reviews. Provide proposal pricing support, cost data, and indirect rates to align with corporate objectives.

- Ability to oversee tax-related activities
- Ability to prepare, review, and submit local, state, and federal tax filings
- Ability to lead and support preparation, review, and monitoring of annual, divisional, and project-level budgets
- Ability to analyze budget performance and financial projections
- Ability to ensure proposal pricing complies with contract and regulatory requirements
- Ability to provide timely and accurate cost data, indirect rates, and pricing models
- Ability to supervise and perform preparation of customer invoices
- Ability to monitor aging accounts
- Ability to conduct proactive collections outreach
- Ability to maintain strong client relationships
- Ability to perform ongoing financial analysis, modeling, and reporting
- Ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
