Job Summary
Consolidate monthly financial results at the Skills level, maintain data integrity, and collaborate with branch analysts to validate inputs and investigate anomalies. Perform detailed variance analysis, produce executive-level reporting packs, and draft financial commentary highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making and leadership reviews. Manage management reporting and consolidation for the Skills VET Training budget and expenditure within strict timeframes. This role requires a commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in financial data consolidation, management reporting and variance analysis at a complex organizational level
- A commitment to maintaining rigorous data integrity and delivering accurate results within strict timeframes
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
- Demonstrated experience of management reporting & consolidation experience in large scale complex organisations
- Degree Qualification in Business, accounting & finance
- Membership to a recognized professional accounting body and/or equivalent workplace experience
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens or a valid work visa)
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number

- Salary ranges from $116,981 to $129.492plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
