Job Summary
Finance Administrator responsible for day-to-day financial operations of the department, including budget monitoring, reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate financial records. Leads preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budget proposals while ensuring departmental compliance with university policies. Serves as the primary liaison between the department and central finance, manages contracts and funding allocations, and responds to financial inquiries from faculty, staff, and students. Provides training and guidance on financial processes and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency through best practices. Requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and clear communication of financial information to a diverse university community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated financial experience required, preferably in higher education or non-profit environment
- Experience with data management and analysis software (Excel, Tableau, SmartSheets) required
- Experience working with Workday Finance is beneficial
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy of finished work is critical
- Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the University
- Demonstrated ability to manage a complex set of projects with competing deadlines and priorities
- Must be flexible, work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment
