Job Summary
Finance & Administration Officer role within Cotton On Foundation Uganda. Responsible for providing financial support to country programs, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies, managing bookkeeping, payroll processing and statutory payments (PAYE, LST, NSSF), bank reconciliations, cash management, budgeting, and reporting. Key activities include maintaining cash books and voucher files, managing the Great Plains system, preparing cheques and payment vouchers, handling payroll verification, ensuring tax and statutory compliance, supporting audits, and producing monthly financial reports and expenditure summaries. Requires strong financial controls, documentation discipline, proficiency with Excel and financial software, and collaboration with the Finance & Administration Manager to deliver timely and accurate financial information for program delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in financial administration and accounting
- Familiarity with payroll processes and statutory payments
- Proficiency with financial software (e.g., Great Plains) and Excel
- Ability to maintain financial documentation and compliance with policies
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Experience supporting internal and external audits
- Ability to prepare financial reports and budgets
