Final Assembly Technician

Job Summary
Conduct final assembly and quality testing for completed tanks by fitting and installing trays, tool boxes, bumpers, and sill-boards. Fully upfit tanks based on production needs while performing hydro tests, cleaning, and inspection. Maintain shop housekeeping standards and clock in/out correctly on job time sheets to stay within established production timelines. Adhere to all safety protocols, read blueprints and work orders, and follow quality control guidelines. Complete fabrication mathematics and measure dimensions using various tools. No supervisory responsibilities; work within the SkyMark Refuelers team in Sullivan, Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read and interpret schematics
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Familiar with 5S method of processing
- Complete understanding of fabrication mathematics
- Ability to measure and verify dimensions using various measuring devices: tape measure, caliper, machinist square, pro-tractor
- Must be able to clearly communicate with others either verbally or via written communication
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
