Job Summary
Pre-register and complete financial analysis for inpatient admissions, outpatient procedures, and ambulatory services by scheduling appointments, verifying eligibility, and collecting patient cost-sharing responsibilities. Obtain necessary authorizations, coordinate with case management for utilization review, and educate patients on coverage details, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Resolve patient issues independently or refer cases to the Patient Access or Financial Counseling team while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating excellent communication skills. Meet productivity and patient satisfaction metrics while assisting with quality improvement projects.
