Job Summary
Support the Mexican Accounting team by processing transactions, preparing journal entries, and performing account analysis and reconciliations. Manage end-to-end accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Taxes, T&E, Treasury, Audit, and financial close activities. Ensure compliance with Mexican GAAP, IFRS, external regulations, and internal policies while identifying and monitoring key controls and risks. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles and maintain effective relationships with supporting teams to drive operational success.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in an accounting, tax, or auditing environment
- Good accounting knowledge of Mexican GAAP and IFRS
- Experience working with financial computer applications and accounting systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both verbal and written
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of accounting processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Taxes, T&E, Treasury, Audit, and financial close activities
- Understanding of internal controls, risks, and compliance requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related discipline
