Job Summary
Deliver high-quality Film and Media teaching leading to accredited qualifications; act as a Personal Tutor, supporting learners’ progress, wellbeing and aspirations; develop engaging schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments and learner evidence portfolios; support performances, original learner-devised work and collaborative productions; work with colleagues and external partners to develop new creative initiatives; promote professional behaviours, transferable skills and employability within the arts; contribute to quality assurance, monitoring and continuous improvement; uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity standards at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Film, Media or a related arts discipline
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with young disabled people, including learners with SEN, in an arts or education setting
- Strong knowledge of film and media production and performance devising
- Experience gathering and assessing portfolio evidence for qualifications
- Excellent organisational, IT and communication skills
- Ability to inspire learners and manage multiple priorities with flexibility and humour
