Job Summary
Operate pipettes, peristaltic pumps, automated labeling systems, and other filling equipment while setting up and running automated filling lines per approved SOPs. Stage raw materials, maintain work-in-process inventory, and complete production documentation accurately. Perform in-process quality inspections and identify or troubleshoot equipment issues by communicating with appropriate personnel. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production schedules and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Work the second shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) in a cold room/freezer environment at -22°F/-6°C, adhering to GMP, safety standards, and 5S protocols while wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to accurately follow written procedures and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and Lean manufacturing principles (PPI/5S)
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a full-face respirator
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to lift: Up to 10 lbs regularly
- Ability to lift: Up to 25 lbs frequently
- Ability to lift: Up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals, solvents, biohazardous materials, and within controlled manufacturing environments while following all safety procedures and required hazardous waste training
- Ability to learn manufacturing equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of the metric system
- Second Shift (Afternoons)
- Location: LSG Operations – Rockford, IL
- Shift: Second Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
- Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C
- Fluctuating Temps hot/cold
- Laboratory Setting
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
- Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)
- Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Safety Standards
- Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed
