Job Summary
The role involves spending 85% of time on the floor, guiding workflow and productivity of line operators to meet daily production requirements. Responsibilities include meeting KPIs for safety and quality, assisting with line start-up and shut down, conducting quality checks, and coordinating production schedules. The lead monitors productivity, communicates with shifts, and trains new operators while ensuring adherence to company standards and compliance with safety protocols. This position requires leadership skills, the ability to motivate operators, and participation in continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience and lead/supervisory experience
- Self-starter able to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward
- Positive attitude and motivated by contributing to the overall success of the team
- Able to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments
- Passionate about food
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the food industry
- Computer skills – basic knowledge of computer programs and ability to learn inventory control program
- Prior training experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills
