Job Summary
Filleter in Fortune Fish & Gourmet's Seafood Department responsible for sorting, butchering, cleaning, weighing, and boxing seafood products. Requires 2-3 years of fillet experience and knife skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working in a cool, wet environment. Must wear protective gear, have basic English proficiency, and be able to work in a team in a fast-paced setting. 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent; duties include following instructions and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of cutting/filleter experience
- Education – High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience – 2-3 years of experience use of fillet knives, food processing equipment and food safety in a fast-paced environment
- Knife experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a basic understanding of the English language, including the ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions
- Able to work with seafood, including various types of fish and shellfish
- Able to lift to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the work shift
- Must follow all directions and adhere to work rules
- Must be willing and able to work with other departments in a team atmosphere
- Must be willing and able to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Prompt and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Perform other duties as assigned
