Filler Operator 3rd Shift

Job Summary

Set up, operate, and monitor filler machines and related equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with SOPs, GMPs, and Work Order instructions. Process work orders accurately and on time according to the daily production schedule. Support CIP, SIP, and manual cleaning of equipment components as needed. Perform fill volume and weight checks, adjust settings, and conduct regular quality tests to ensure compliance with safety and product standards. Document production details accurately, including weights, teardown results, cap integrity, downtime, and sanitation records. Identify and remove defective cartons, maintain adequate supplies of caps and cases, and ensure proper application and sealing of caps and cases. Support minor equipment maintenance, maintain a clean work environment, and collaborate with the Quality Department to meet food safety standards. Adhere to all safety policies, report unsafe conditions immediately, and follow aseptic processing practices. Work beyond regularly scheduled hours during peak periods.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and use of weights and measures
  • Must be comfortable using a calculator
  • Familiarity with basic computer systems and control interfaces
  • Adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to regularly perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and using hands for detailed tasks
  • Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools, including pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and standard material handling and cleaning equipment
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day
  • Ability to handle heavier items with proper lifting equipment or team-assisted techniques
  • Ability to work beyond regularly scheduled hours during peak periods or critical operations
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields

Desired Qualifications

  • Ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of food production and food safety principles
