Job Summary
Prepare and review complex international tax forms including 1040 NR, 1120F, 5471, 8865, and 8858 while managing substantive Subpart F, PFIC, and Section 367 merger and acquisition issues. Advise clients on foreign business investments, develop tax-efficient structures, and coordinate transfer pricing services. Plan and manage client engagements for corporations, partnerships, S-Corporations, and high net worth individuals, researching complex tax matters and providing guidance on achieving client goals. Mentor, coach, and supervise staff while owning client relationships and projects. Requires 7-10 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Tax compliance experience in filing complex forms 1040 NR, 1120F.
- Ability to properly prepare/review Forms 5471, 8865 and 8858 from client supplied information.
- Knowledge of corporate and individual foreign tax credit limitations and compliance related thereto.
- Knowledge of allocation and apportionment of expenses.
- Experience with substantive Subpart F and PFIC issues.
- Experience with all types of international merger and acquisition (section 367) issues and compliance related thereto.
- Ability to research international tax issues.
- Advising on the tax implications of foreign business investments and transactions, developing and implementing tax-efficient structures, planning for foreign tax credit utilization, due diligence services, and coordinating the delivery of transfer pricing services.
- Planning and managing client engagements.
- Direct and assist as necessary in the compliance aspects of international tax relative to the U.S. taxation of international transactions for corporations, partnerships/LLCs, S-Corporations and high net worth individuals.
- Providing outstanding service to our diverse, dynamic, high profile client base.
- Owning client relationships, projects, and work.
- Understanding your clients' goals and needs.
- Giving clients' recommendations and guidance on how to achieve their goals.
- Researching and managing complex tax matters including planning and compliance.
- Working closely with senior management in mentoring, coaching, supervising, and evaluating staff.
- 7 -10 years of experience.
