Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain production and test equipment, including filling machinery for battery cells with electrolyte and running test scripts via manufacturing software. Utilize programmable logic controls and calibrated tools to charge cells and ensure product conformance through visual inspection and electrical performance reviews. Maintain a clean, orderly workstation using 6S standards while adhering to safety policies and procedures in a low-humidity environment. Document results clearly, communicate machine or product issues to management, and diagnose equipment problems to correct operational variances. Work one of three eight-hour shifts, standing for most of the day while wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 2 years Manufacturing experience preferably running machinery
- Ability to comprehend written instructions and to clearly document and record the results of the work that you perform
- Experience running machinery and/or test equipment as well as and producing products of high quality
- Possess great organizational skills and maintain an organized workstation to optimize product flow to feed downstream stations
- Ability to safely work with energized cells and has a basic understanding of electrical circuits, to include an understanding of voltage, current and impedance
- Experience using basic hand tools to include torque tools, electrical meters
- Keen eye for detail and be able to notice small variances in processes and materials that may affect final product quality
- Communicate clearly and accurately to describe in detail any machine or product issues that may have occurred and possess the ability to communicate this information to all levels of management
- Reliable, trustworthy and able to work either independently or as part of a team
- Problem solving skills that permit diagnosing and correcting of issues that may occur during equipment operation
- Ability and willingness to rapidly learn and understand the tasks assigned
- Able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Additional schooling or training in a technical field is preferred
- Basic computer skills with some proficiency of Excel and database usage
