Job Summary
Perform file operations and maintenance including storage, maintenance, interfiling, consolidations, searches, and responding to file requests. Update government systems, connect incoming correspondence to shelved files, and scan large multi-page documents. File copies of naturalization certificates and notices, close out citizenship ceremonies, and provide support for processing forms and applications used in the adjudication process. Regularly perform audits of file rooms within the establishment and travel to other government facilities for file audits. This permanent, full-time position supports the overall mission of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by facilitating the operations of a local Field Office.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance under the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
- Ability to read and understand proficiently in English
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. or more in a physical environment
- Ability to perform tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
