Job Summary
As Fieldsperson, you will monitor crop growth, conduct regular farm visits, and provide agronomic guidance to growers to protect crop quality from field to factory. You will ensure crops meet quality, varietal, and specification standards; build relationships with growers; act as the main contact between growers and Albert Bartlett/Maincrop; support grower recruitment/retention; coordinate harvesting schedules to meet factory demand; liaise with logistics/site teams to ensure efficient product flow; monitor yields and forecasted volumes, and assist with crop records, traceability, and compliance with food-safety standards such as Red Tractor. Strong collaboration with agronomy teams and cross-functional stakeholders is required to maintain supply and deliver regular progress reports.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of potato growing or arable farming practices.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
- Able to travel regularly to farms.
- HND or degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related agricultural field.
- Knowledge of Red Tractor or similar assurance standards.
