Job Summary
Field Welder/Line Bore Technician responsible for field welding including line boring, fabricating and repairing equipment and structures using oxy-acetylene, arc, MIG and TIG welding. Applies plans and drawings to determine welding requirements, operates drill presses, power saws, grinders and welding equipment, and estimates material and labor. Advises on supplies/materials to order and performs other management-requested duties. Requires CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement and LINE boring experience. Works in environments with exposure to moisture, fumes, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, vibration, and moving parts. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior welding experience
- Knowledge of applicable codes
- Proficient in welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG)
- Skilled in the fabrication, joining and repair of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures
- Must have LINE boring experience
- CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement
