Job Summary
As a Field Underwriting Consultant specializing in Construction, you will provide specialized underwriting consultation to enhance decision-making, lead coaching initiatives, and ensure alignment with profitability goals. Responsibilities include evaluating underwriting decisions, conducting quality audits, and identifying training opportunities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve underwriting processes and utilize analytics for risk selection and management. A bachelor's degree and 5 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience are required, with a strong emphasis on construction expertise. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work-related experience
- 5 years commercial property and casualty underwriting experience
- Must have Construction underwriting expertise
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Desire to develop deep knowledge in designated specialty
- Thought leadership in designated specialty
- AU, CIC, ARM, CRM, CRIS or CPCU designations preferred
