Job Summary
Ambulance Field Training Officer responsible for onboarding and evaluating EMTs in class and field; deliver structured field training in accordance with approved FTO programs; assess clinical skills, decision-making, documentation, and professional behavior; provide real-time feedback, coaching, and remediation; ensure compliance with state EMS regulations, medical director protocols, and company policies; act as a clinical and operational resource for field staff; participate in ongoing training program development and quality improvement initiatives; maintain exemplary patient care, professionalism, and safety standards; must hold EMT or Paramedic certification with 5+ years field experience and a valid driver's license; role requires lifting up to 250 lbs and willingness to work extended shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays; location: Los Angeles, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Current EMT or Paramedic certification (state-licensed and in good standing)
- Minimum of 5 years of active field experience in 911 and/or IFT operations
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Current BLS
- ACLS/PALS preferred, if applicable
- Strong knowledge of EMS protocols, operations, and documentation standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
