Job Summary
Field Technician responsible for cleaning and inspecting railcar interiors and maintaining equipment used in the cleaning process; performs confined-space entries with PPE, adheres to Tactical Cleaning policies, completes cleaning checklists, communicates with Shop Manager, and ensures safety guidelines and EPA requirements are followed; duties include operating equipment for cleaning, recording QAQC and documentation, assisting with setup and troubleshooting of diesel cleaning system, and supporting production schedules with accurate reporting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- 1 year of freight car/tank car experience (preferred)
- Ability to travel 50% - 75% including overnight stays
- Willingness to work overtime
- Ability to pass physical examination and drug/alcohol screening
- Ability to pass respirator fit test and wellness tests
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outside in adverse weather
- Proficiency with basic computer software (MS Word, MS Excel)
- Willingness to undergo Hazwoper, Confined Space, First-Aid, Hazardous Materials training
Desired Qualifications
