Job Summary
Conduct topographic, hydrographic, and boundary surveys across coastal, overwater, and land-based sites while setting up and maintaining survey control networks. Use Total Stations, slope lasers, transits, and levels to provide precise layout and alignment data for marine structures, ports, and bridges. Capture construction dimensions for verification against design specifications, maintaining high precision to ensure alignment with project plans. Adapt methods for varying marine and coastal conditions, communicating effectively with engineers and construction managers. Requires alertness, good balance, moderate physical strength, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently. Candidates must hold a TWIC card and possess full vision acuity.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Total Stations, multiple slope lasers, transit and level
- Must have a TWIC card
- Ability to talk and hear is very important for communication with supervisor and co-workers on safety and operational matters
- Preference given to candidates with 5 years of Field Engineer/Surveyor/Rodman experience at meets or exceeds performance expectations
