Job Summary
Perform service activities at job sites and customer locations for Peterson Cat equipment. Travel to and from customer sites to conduct maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and hydraulic components. Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions, then repair, replace, or rebuild systems while maintaining a safe working environment. Write service reports documenting diagnoses and repairs, prepare work orders and timecards, and operate company or personal vehicles as needed. Communicate with internal and external customers to promote positive relationships and keep them informed on work status. Maintain punctual attendance and ensure assigned vehicles remain clean and operational.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- Minimum of 6 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment repair
- Experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to become CDL certified
- DOT Medical Card
