Job Summary
Perform service activities at job sites and customer locations for Peterson Cat equipment. Travel to and from customer sites to perform maintenance and repairs, including diagnosing malfunctions and rebuilding engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and hydraulic components. Write service reports documenting diagnosis and repairs, prepare work orders, parts lists, and timecards, and ensure the company vehicle remains clean and operational. Maintain a safe working environment, communicate with internal and external customers to promote positive relationships, and follow manufacturer service guidelines. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to obtain CDL certification, and 6+ years of heavy equipment repair experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- minimum of 6 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment repair
- experience in a heavy industrial environment
- equivalent combination of education and work experience
- valid driver's license
- satisfactory driving record
- ability to become CDL certified
- DOT Medical Card
