Job Summary
Perform service activities at job sites and customer locations for Peterson Cat equipment. Travel to customer sites to maintain a safe working environment while diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and hydraulic components. Write service reports documenting diagnoses and repairs, prepare work orders and timecards, and communicate status updates to internal and external customers. Operate company or personal vehicles as needed and maintain a professional image with all contacts. Maintain punctual, regular attendance and follow manufacturer service guidelines to preserve component failure information. Possess basic computer knowledge for service software and ability to use required documentation tools.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 6 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment repair
- preferably in a heavy industrial environment
- equivalent combination of education and work experience
- valid driver's license
- satisfactory driving record
- ability to become CDL certified
- DOT Medical Card
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology
- other closely related field
