Job Summary
Perform service activities at job sites and customer locations for Peterson fleet equipment. Travel to customer sites to diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and hydraulic components. Write service reports documenting diagnoses and repairs, and prepare work orders, parts lists, and timecards. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure the company vehicle remains clean and operational. Communicate with internal and external customers to keep them informed on work status. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to become CDL certified, and a minimum of six years of heavy equipment repair experience.
Required Qualifications
- valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to become CDL certified with DOT Medical Card
- Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance
- Possess basic computer knowledge and ability to use service software required in position
- Associate's degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- minimum of 6 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment repair
- experience in a heavy industrial environment
- equivalent combination of education and work experience
