Job Summary
Monitor construction sites and perform field testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt materials. Transport sample documentation to the laboratory, tabulate observations, and submit written and digital reports. Communicate with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors regarding site requirements and testing results. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dust, and noise, with long periods of standing and walking on uneven terrain. Weekend, overtime, and overnight work may be required. A valid driver's license and acceptable MVR are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 10-12 hours a day on occasion
- Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk
- Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required
- A background report will also be required as part of our onboarding process
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in materials testing
- Certifications from ACI, Troxler and FDOT
- At least some construction-related work history
- Basic math and writing skills
- Strong work ethics
- Ability to work as a team player
