Job Summary
Field Technician (Mechanic) at EquipmentShare with a focus on preventive maintenance and repairs for Pump, Power & HVAC equipment across customer sites and shop. Primary duties include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, setting up and operating equipment, and maintaining accurate work orders. Requires tools, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to travel to customer locations, OSHA awareness, and collaboration with other technicians. EPA 608 certification is preferred or obtainable within 6-12 months. Work hours are Monday–Friday with overtime after 40 hours and potential on-call compensation; full-time with benefits and safety-sensitive employment conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or trade school certificate (preferred)
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment
- Experience reading schematics and calculating nominal/effective tonnage or kW requirements
- Excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills
- EPA 608 certification preferred or obtainable within 6-12 months
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; must be at least 21 to operate company vehicle
