Job Summary
Create, assign, and monitor work orders while tracking service intervals and diagnosing issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and air compressors at the shop or customer job sites. Troubleshoot equipment failures, operate machinery individually or with teammates, and assist in training lower-level technicians. Maintain electronic documentation of work performed daily and manage the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be clean shaven in order to enter worksites for EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement
- This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
- Employment is contingent on passing a background check
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- EPA 608 certification is preferred. If you do not already have the certification, you should be able to obtain it within 6-12 months of employment
