Job Summary
Field Technician Maintenance responsible for repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and ongoing maintenance at AMH properties; responsibilities include handling water heater, plumbing, garage door, irrigation, and electrical issues, performing carpentry, drywall, roofing, fencing, ensuring HVAC systems operate with tune-ups, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, updating mobile work orders, and coordinating with vendors and tenants; requires knowledge of OSHA safety practices, EPA/HVAC certifications where applicable, and strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills, with physical ability to lift heavy loads and operate a vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED preferred; Associate degree or technical training certification a plus
- Minimum two years of experience in Residential/Property Maintenance or related field, or five years of experience in lieu of education
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools
- OSHA safety knowledge
- EPA Certification or HVAC Type II Certification in applicable states
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
